| DESCRIPTION |
This course provides a thorough training in the mechanics of English.
It covers punctuation, sentence
structure, paragraph writing, and word usage. |
| PREREQUISITE |
There is no prerequisite for this
course.
Recommended: Concurrent enrollment in CAOT 34 |

| ATTENDANCE |
According to the college attendance regulations, a student is responsible for
dropping a class. It is your responsibility to drop the class before the deadline. If you
simply stop
attending and do not drop, you will receive an “F.” |
| CONDUCT CODE |
Cheating will not be tolerated.
College authorities will determine which type of
penalty is appropriate. Cheating could result in suspension, withdrawal, or
expulsion.
Any student caught cheating on exams will receive an “F” for that exam. |
| CELL PHONES |
No cell phones are allowed in class. Turn your phones off or on vibration. If your cell
phone rings in class, five points will be deducted from your next test score.

Exams must be taken on the date and at the time
scheduled by your instructor. If you cannot attend, make arrangements with
me prior to the exam date. There are no makeup exams. If you miss an
exam, you will receive an “F” for that exam.
Completing all assigned exercises is necessary in order to
SUCCESSFULLY complete this course. Prompt and regular attendance is extremely
important. |
